Austin and I ate in a cafe before we saw the Czech philharmonic that night, and the couple sitting next to us noticed we were speaking English and asked where we were from. This started a conversations in which we found out that the wife was from Aberdeen, WA, and her husband had previously taught at UPS and lived in Seattle for some years!
We even went to a restaurant the first night we were in Prague in which the waitress asked "where are you from?" When we said "the states", she brought over a little American flag and put it on our table.
This is a huge difference from when we were in Germany, where people generally just know a few key phrases in English, we have to ask for English menus, and stumbling upon Americans is much more rare.
