When researching the many activities in Leipzig, Annalise and I stumbled across one of the most renowned Zoo's in the world. The Zoo covered the continents of Asia, Africa, Europe, North America and South America. After a 15 minute walk from our hostel we were at the entrance and the price of admission was only 16 Euro! For the first time in my life I saw Red Pandas, Snow Leopards, and Ocelots. Inside the Zoo there was an indoor jungle larger than I could ever describe. We took a boat tour through the jungle and we're greeted by a Tapir and a Leopard by the waterfront. The close up and personal experiences we were able to have with the animals at this Zoo were incredible and I haven't had an experience like that at any Zoo in America. We spent over 4 hours there and we could've have easily spent 4 more if it wasn't cold and dark outside. Another fantastic day in Leipzig!
