Leipzig

Hello all!
After a day and a half of traveling, we made it to Leipzig on Sunday evening. It was amazing to step out of the train tunnel to see a historic old world Europe. Austin and I just could not miss the Hawks game, so we braved the bad livestream and Internet combination to see the Seahawks beat the Vikings that night.
On Day 1, we met with our tour guide, who showed us around Leipzig and gave us cool facts about the city, as well as recommendations on what to do in our free time.
Bach, standing in front of the church he he worked at in his time here.
After a much needed nap, I met up with Austin, Annalise, Colin, Torsen, and Will for dinner at an Irish pub near our hostel. After that, we had a fun night playing cards.
On Day 2, we began the day by going through the city center's market.
Everything was extremely fresh, clean and organized.
After that, we decided to go to a free museum about the socialist regime (GDR) that followed the World War in Germany. Although most of it was in German, it was a very interesting exhibit.
A concert poster for Tchaikovsky.
This door belonged to a prison cell. You could see Austin through the other side.
After the museum, we went to a tall building in Leipzig, and went onto their observation deck for 3 euros. It was absolutely beautiful-
Tonight, we see the Gewandhaus Brass Quintet. I am excited to start the concerts!
